I have a larger cage as well as one for which his tray is a perfect fit! I got two and really appreciate both. The fact that they are a bit more rigid makes it easier to move plants and tube racks in and out.
I’m so glad I added this to my supplies! I have used it for observation of caterpillars which may not be healthy. I also used it to rehang some chrysalides which were in a bad location outside. It has been very useful!
I love these! When I have a small number of big cats ready to “J”, I clip some milkweed, put it in these large tubes and use the rack to create a food source for them. This gives them what they need and allows actual plants time to recover from being eaten.
Butterfly cube was larger than expected, so I gave it to a friend. She is very happy with it. I will be ordering a smaller one.
I'm torn because I really like the shape and fit for the baby cube. Clean up is definitely easier, no doubt. That being said, I realize I like being able to turn or rotate the round platter as it makes for quick easy access to the harder to reach areas. Typically I line the platter with a full paper towel sheet and that obviously fits better with the newly designed platter but here's the deal.....it slips all over the place. It's like a virtual slip and slide in there.
